About Us

Calder Weaving Co Ltd is a private family run business; the Company being founded by the present chairman J.D. Clayton in 1960 who is still active in the company.
Principally involved in the manufacturing of curtain lining and electric blanket fabric, Calder has diversified into other fields, presently weaving furnishing fabrics and household fabrics. Over the past 18 months Calder Weaving has been actively investing in new hi-tec textile machinery, namely 4 somet high speed looms, not only have Calder concentrated on the weaving division but have also invested in raising machines, consequently enabling us to increase productivity whilst increasing our own quality of standards

Products / Services

The Company has weaving machines in widths of 22000mm - 380mm and is therefore, capable of weaving fabrics up to 365" (144").
The raising plant is capable of raising fabrics up to a width of 254cms.
We also pride ourselves on our quick turnaround of orders, which again helps our customer meet his or her demands.
Looking at Calder Weaving as a whole we are unique in the way we are a vertical establishment enabling the customer to buy finished goods from stock, therefore, enabling our customers to reduce their inventory.
