About Us

Dawes Mill have been weaving quality fabrics in Nelson, Lancashire since 1902.
S. Dawes Weaving Limited produce high quality Jacquard furnishing fabrics on 8 Dornier high speed Rapier looms with electronic Jacquards.
Two of the eight Jacquards have single end control which basically gives us the capability to weave full width pattern repeats from selvedge to selvedge over 60".
We also have eight Picanol Rapier looms which can weave up to 71" fabric width, and weave a variety of technical and industrial fabrics etc.

Products / Services

We have the benefit of being on the same premises as Howorths(Nelson) who are a large yarn importer/merchant. Howorths also process all types of yarn through beaming sizing and section warping.
Design - We have our own design facility utilising our new APSO CAD design workstation. Our fabric designer will work to client briefs, or clients are welcome to browse through our samples - we have 1000's of free jacquard and Dobby designs
