About Us

Mitchell Interflex is a family owned company established in 1907.
The Weaving factory is situated in a beautiful valley on the Lancashire/Yorkshire border. The original mill buildings date back to c.1712 but today these buildings are used for Sales and Administration.
As the Company prospered a new adjoining weaving shed was built using locally quarried stone and materials to blend in with the surrounding environment.
The Weaving Department is equipped with Dornier Rapier looms on a planned replacement cycle to be able to service our customers with modern productive capacity. Many of the fabrics produced in the Weaving Department require a brushed surface and in 1998 a custom built Raising Department was commissioned.
The Raising Department is situated on the M65 at Nelson, Lancashire, it has excellent distribution through the motorway network. The raising factory has the best machinery available for raising both woven and non-woven fabrics with suitable ancillary equipment for crease and lapping and making up.
