About Us

Vernon-Carus Limited are a dynamic healthcare company based in Preston, in the North West of England.

The group employs approximately 400 people and has an annual turnover of around £43 million.

The company has recently reorganised into three business divisions - providing focus in the areas of Perioperative Care, Infection Control and Wound Care.

Vernon-Carus manufacture a wide range of branded products and are also UK distributors of products manufactured by Arjo Wiggins, Hawo, Interster, Lohmann & Rauscher, Medicon eG, Amcor SPS and Sengewald.

In addition to a range of traditional products, Vernon-Carus supply a growing number of specialist, innovative products including the B.E.R.T. endoscopic retrieval range and the Asherman Chest Seal.

A major supplier to the NHS, with over 30 years of experience in the healthcare market, Vernon-Carus is committed to delivering healthcare solutions and outstanding customer service.

Products / Services

Perioperative
Perioperative Care provides a comprehensive range consumable products for use in and around the operating theatre environment.

This includes, for example, X-Ray detectable swabs, single use drapes & gowns and a number of more specialist products.

The Perioperative range includes one of the widest ranges of Sterile Procedure and Supplementary packs, many of which are manufactured to our customers’ precise specifications.

Infection Control
The Infection Control division’s range of products includes tray liners, tray wrap and cleaning solutions.

The range also includes wipes for environmental hygiene and skin cleansing as well as containers for clinical waste and sharps. For needle exchange schemes we are able to supply custom made pre-packs.

Wound Care
The Wound Care product range comprises dressings for a variety of wounds including traumatic chest wounds, malodorous wounds, diabetic wounds, decubitus ulcers, burns and leg ulcers. Our compression therapy range features a comprehensive selection of products for the treatment of leg ulcers and lymphoedema. The advanced Wound Care range includes sterile larvae and BioBags, Neoform scar garments for the treatment of hypertrophic scars and Gel FX, a hydrogel coated polyester net dressing.

It is our aim to develop a range of Wound Care products that will provide convenience, ease of application and removal, and patient comfort, whilst also ensuring that we continue to provide the highest quality products at the most competitive prices.
