About Us

Initially founded in 1740 and owned by the Heaton family since 1928, we are proud of our heritage and technical capabilities. Presently managed by James and Peter Heaton, we excel at finding solutions to customer problems. We have flexible manufacturing - twisting,warping,weaving and finishing - and a positive approach to Research and Development which includes constant investment in new equipment. To complete our service, our manufacturing facilities are available on contract only and are supplemented by a comprehensive range of yarns and threads.

Twisting Services
Latest twisting technology ensures a flexible high specification product development capability which produces specialist yarns and threads for our own weaving and also supplying to customer specification. A high range of multiple yarn count and twist are possible in a multitude of fibres and package styles -- parallel tube, cone, or dye pack.

Warping Servcies
Our substantial and flexible warping facility compliments our twisting and weaving departments and is also available for external services.

Sizing Services
Slasher frames offer the only independent sizing in the UK for a multitude of yarns including acetate and viscose. A wide yarn count range is possible and includes industrial, technical and textured yarns.
