With over a 100 years of experience in the weaving of quality fabrics, aligned with a policy of continuous re-investment, William Reed Weaving has firmly established itself as a forerunner in the manufacture of quality continuous filament fabrics.
Now an integral part of Allied Textiles Ltd. , William Reed was one of the first companies in Lancashire to weave filament rayon, then known as artificial silk.
This experience paved the way for future innovation and William Reed went on to become one of the first manufacturers to produce nylon fabrics.
With a combination of Japanese Air and Water Jet and Swiss Rapier Looms, William Reed Weaving is able to offer a range of continuous filament fabrics ranging from 33 Decitex up to 1100 Decitex to the high standards demanded by today’s discerning market.
By rigorously pursuing new technological developments, continuously updating machinery and investing in high calibre personnel, William Reed’s believe they hold the key to continued success.
